Charity Projects & International Community Challenges:

At ATD we have been running charity projects and corporate community challenges overseas for over 10 years. Across the Divide has pioneered the development of projects that inspire, challenge and deliver real benefits.

We combine our expertise of running corporate events, expeditions and CSR projects with our intimate knowledge of the UK charitable sector, to offer unrivalled experience in this field.

Whether your event is for a charity challenge or a corporate trip these are suitable for all.

We have completed numerous projects in Brazil, Peru, Lesotho, Mozambique, China and Brazil. We also have a large range of charity projects in South Africa, Borneo, Thailand, Ladakh, Morocco and Mexico, and a new ones coming online all the time.

Projects carry real risks and are of real consequence. They therefore engage participants at a much deeper level and carry a focus on personal, team and corporate values never really seen before in conventional challenges.

Teamwork in action on a ATD community project

'I was unsure what I had let myself in for, but with the help of ATD staff we all had an experience that we will never forget. My advice to anyone wishing to do such a challenge is. GO FOR IT, you won’t regret it. Once again thank you all' John English, Barclaycard

School play area built by Across the Divide Charity Project team Brazil……Building on our success in promoting the construction of a number of local tourism initiatives, we have offered our help to a local school. Impoverished and run-down the school is in dire need of renovation and assistance. Our plan is to bring out a team of dedicated individuals with various skills- or just a willingness to get 'stuck-in', who will be able to give the school a helping hand.

Peru... As part of Project Peru you will help renovate The Rainbow Centre in Urubamba, which educates and supports children with a learning disability. The main work will be helping to renovate and add new buildings to a centre for the children. The trip will culminate in a two-day trek to the famous 'Lost City of the Incas', Machu Picchu.

NEW Project - Namibia Spitzkoppe Kindergarden.
The original building was funded by the British Red Cross, but with little money for maintenance, the location is in much need of renovation. The kindergarten has 35 pupils, aged between 2 and 6 years. There are 2 teachers, Peggy and Lena //Tsowases (the // is pronounced with a "clicking sound")

Charity Projects with ATD Expeditions'I am so proud I’ve been part of something so special, which has really made a difference. Amazing experience - many thanks to all'. Amy Jones, Carphone Warehouse.

'... since returning we have worked so better as a team that the difference is remarkable and only be attributed to what we have leant on your Morocco community project' ... ' you have a great team there and long may you succeed.' Christine Smith, Jewsons.

'The project has helped us to hit a number of this strategic targets, your advice has been invaluable and I look forward to even greater results next year'. Dr S. Hudson, EML Ltd.
